A Star Suspended
A star suspended, elegantly poised for it’s moment, a soft understated glow warms the crisp night air, as time waits patiently for the world to wake. Despite an unmistakable tiredness I can’t sleep tonight, I hear whispers, an inaudible secret shared in silence, as I lye transfixed, watching the pale moon delicately balanced against a the black velvet sky. Tranquillity overwhelms sleeping souls, seemingly oblivious to poetry etched into this magical winters night, like frozen capsules, they wait, as unchoreographed dances flood darkened rooms, a blinding vision of beauty, elegant beyond words. That night I lay abandoned and alone, a witness to undeniable perfection and for that moment devoid of pain.
